Mixing metals

I see you used chrome faucet with gold brass cabinet hardware and lighting. Is it ok to mix shiny and dull also? I have stainless appliances and sink, but love the brushed gold hardware, and am finding it hard to match a gold faucet. Should I do a brushed stainless faucet?

    It is ok to mix metals, and I think a nice gold-finished faucet would look very nice with gold-finished hardware, even make the faucet stand out more.

    brushed/polished nickel has a warmer undertone than chrome, which runs more blue toned, so the nickel often goes better with the warm undertones of gold/brass hardware if you mix them.
