    How old is this kitchen? Do the owners cook a lot? The reason I'm asking is that I love marble, but I keep hearing that it's not good in the kitchen due to acids: citrus, red wine, etc. I cook every day and use lots of citrus, etc. I want a kitchen that I don't have to be too worried about pitting or staining or etching. I don't mind some aging/patina.
