Add warmth by painting an accent wall (prob the tv wall). Chocolate brown, dark gray, or even black could add some drama. Then add a nice big piece of artwork (greens, yellows, browns, purples) to the wall above the couch. I think i'ts very pretty! if you don't want to swap anything out I would add pictures on the walls beside the TV and behind the couch. What about a glass votive beside the media stand with branches that have the lights in them. Maybe some kind of side table beside the couch that is a warm wood color?

The one change I would make in your beautiful room is to change the window treatment color to the exact color of wood trim on your furniture. That one tweak wlll accentuate it. For the accent color: caramel.

One of my favorite rooms is the first picture and deep, rich brown velvet would be a lovely choice for pillows. Adding a great coffee table and pulling the two chairs in will make the space feel more intimate. Large art over the couch should do the trick and incorporate blue/cream/brown and maybe even mauve or purple.

The only picture I can find of a glass votive like I was thinking is awful quality :( But just a simple clear glass vase that is on the larger side like 18" tall and like 8" in diameter.. In it I would put the branches that have the lights in them. Like a group of these vvv

I would do this in a larger scale and put it in the corner near the window. Maybe a tall standing lamp with a long white shade in the other corner, behind the couch.

Also something like this on the edge of the couch nearest the walkway.

Navy or coral

One thing that I have noticed, while decorating my own home, is that once I put a color on the walls, I don't like that color repeated in the room because there's already so much of it. What I do like, is to use complimentary colors in the rest of the room. Your wall color is very pretty, your furniture is beautiful, and the rug is stunning, but I see what you mean; there is a lack of life, surrounding these beautiful items.

I would change your curtains to something neutral and beige, preferably with a nice texture, or subtle pattern. Your coffee table should be something in the same warm, golden family. I would remove the blue vases and replace with cream vases, and for the the tiniest touch of color, I would add cherry blossom red, either in the artwork, or in the pillows, but to keep the calm serenity of the space, it would be the tiniest bit, because that's all it would need.
