I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Closet Factory Tampa. I initially received a detailed quote for a Murphy bed at $2,200. However, when I reached out to move forward and sign the paperwork, the price mysteriously jumped to $3,970—almost double the original quote—without any explanation. It was only after I questioned the discrepancy that I was told the initial quote was “not written correctly.” This kind of bait-and-switch pricing is completely unacceptable. Even worse, when I requested a call from a manager to discuss the issue, not one person followed up. I’ve sent emails and have yet to receive any response. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is shocking. If this is how Closet Factory Tampa treats potential customers, I can only imagine how they handle actual projects. I would strongly caution anyone considering working with them—there are plenty of other companies out there that will treat you with honesty and respect.

A Nightmare Experience with Closet Factory LA-Unprofessional, Incompetent, & Costly I cannot express how disappointed and frustrated I am with my experience with Closet Factory. What was supposed to be a straightforward project to replace my walk-in closet turned into a two-month-long nightmare filled with incompetence, poor communication, and unnecessary damage to my home. I signed a contract with Closet Factory two months ago, and from the very beginning, things went downhill. The demolition of my old closet took several days for a small space, and the crew failed to complete the template as promised. I was told another team would come to do the template, but no one showed up, despite waiting the entire day. This was a clear breach of the agreement I had with Raul, the manager (who has since quit), who assured me the template would be done before I left town and materials would be ready for installation. Instead, nothing was prepared for over a month—not even the template. The customer service manager, Pearl, was impossible to reach. She never returned my calls and was always "in a meeting" or "out of the office." When the installation finally began 6-7 weeks later, it was a disaster. The installers discovered the dimensions were wrong, and the design was flawed. The designer, Marjan (or Marj), was utterly incompetent. She came to my home at least six times to take measurements and correct the design, yet every time the installation crew tried to proceed, they ran into issues. Marjan was consistently unavailable to address concerns, always texting that she couldn’t talk and directing me to the production manager, Ismael, who was rude and condescending. The installation process dragged on for another two weeks, and during this time, the crew damaged my living room ceiling and the frame of an imported custom door. The ceiling now needs to be repainted entirely because the damage cannot be color-matched. After the crew left, I discovered more problems: loose panels and shelves, cracked cedar backing, and misaligned panels. I contacted Jabrina, a customer service representative, and sent her pictures of the damages and flaws. She told me it would take 6-8 business days to review the issues. A week later, after sending two follow-up emails, I still haven’t received a response. I now have to hire another closet company to fix the problems, a painting company to repair the ceiling, and a door company to fix the damaged frame. I’ve been without a closet for two months, with my clothes and belongings scattered across the floor and furniture. Closet Factory does not respect your time or schedule. They expect you to adjust your life to their delays and mishaps. If you’re unavailable on their chosen day, they’ll push you back another week or two. I lost nearly three weeks of my time dealing with this project. This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly does not care about its customers. Save yourself a headache

had my closets remodeled by this factory two years ago, and we added some extra items worth $1800. Unfortunately, we never received these additional items, despite numerous emails to our designer, Lucia, who acknowledged the issue but never followed up. Attempts to reach the office and the manager were unsuccessful, and a chargeback was not possible due to the time elapsed. I finally spoke to a manager named Pearl two months ago, but there has been no resolution or response since July 31, 2023. This experience has been highly unsatisfactory, considering we spent $20,000 on the remodeling. I want to emphasize that I've never written a review for any business before, but this situation compelled me to share my disappointing experience.

From start to finish, she was attentive, professional, and incredibly talented. She listened to my needs and preferences, took careful measurements, and designed a solution that exceeded my expectations. What's more, the service provided by Shannon and the team at Closet Factory of Charlotte was outstanding. From the moment I reached out to them, they were responsive and helpful, answering all of my questions and providing me with all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. The installation was smooth and efficient, and the end result was absolutely stunning. I couldn't be happier with the work that Shannon and her team did for me. My closet is now a dream space, with everything organized and within easy reach. And it looks beautiful, too! If you're considering a custom storage solution, I highly recommend Closet Factory of Charlotte and specifically, Shannon Binnicker. You won't be disappointed!

Update 1/4/22 Received an apology from Los Angeles GM and he agreed to make it right. I asked for the $400 back that I was charged for the desk and a refund for the handles I had to purchase that were $13.60. I also asked for a 10% discount. He responded that I had already received a 10% discount--which I was unaware of but believe it was for the 3 month delay in delivery. However no refund for the desk or the handles. No further communication from GM. I ordered a custom built Murphy Bed with a folding desk in it from their designer Catherine. They charged me $5527 for the bed and desk attachment and said I could pick out all the hardware later which was included in the price. I sent Catherine several images of a desk idea and she was supposed to create a design. I was then given a plain design and told to sign off on it so they could begin the order of the parts for the Bed. They delayed the install for 2 months and then said the bed was ready to install, though I had not seen a design and had repeatedly asked to see something. Catherine never returned any of my calls. They came to install and when they did it was the plain design with big silver handles (all the hardware in my home is black). No desk. I called several times asking for someone to come and add the desk and was told there was not enough staff to fix it, then I was told the wrong materials were used on the base and that a desk could not be attached. The main Los Angeles office kept saying I had to reach out to Catherine who would not return my calls. Then someone from accounting called and offered me $400 which I said was not enough because the wrong materials were used and $400 was not enough to go out and hire someone to recreate the wall of the bed and then also add a folding desk to it. I emailed back and called back several more times and they said that since I said the $400 was not enough that the issue was unresolvable and they would send no refund at all and would not come and install the product I originally ordered.

I have worked with Closet Factory on several projects over the last few years. For the project just finished, I had the pleasure to have Claudio as the installer. He called 1/2 hour prior to his arrival, did a great job with the assembly and went above-and-beyond to ensure that we were satisfied with the end result. We would highly recommend him.

This is my very first review on any products that I have ever purchased. I decided to leave a review here because it was placed on my heart that people needed to know this to help them make a decision with this BIG purchase that they will make. We purchased 2 murphy beds and a closet/dressing room. It was a VERY BIG purchase for us. The main reason we decided to go with them was because they offered that if you ever move that they will move the beds for you. Fast forward 8 years later they are telling us that they now longer offer that service and will not help move them to our new location. We have spoke with several different people. We tried to speak with the owner but was told that he wished not to speak with us. Please never use them. With all the money that we have spent with this company to be treated unfair.

**Update** I called Closet Factory again to try to set up an appointment. I was again told that they can't come in on a Saturday. He even told me they don't offer Saturday appointments. I found that statement very interesting because I saw and took pictures of their truck on a Saturday when they were doing work for a neighbor. Not only that but when they put me on hold the message playing clearly mentions they offer Saturday appointments. After I mentioned all of that I was promised a call back. It's been almost two weeks and I haven't heard back. **Original Review** We recently moved into a new home. We wanted to have our closets and media center done. We decided to use the closet factory and do the media center first. The designer was very helpful and we waited impatiently for the installation day. When the installers came in they were careful and tried to finish everything in that day. Unfortunately they ran out of time and I was told they were going to come back the next day. The next day different installers came and that's when things started to go bad. One of the new installers looked like he didn't want to do his job. He rushed everything and left the door handles crooked. In waiting to that some of the doors were too small but blamed the hinges. I was promised they would address the issues. It's been 2 months since the installers first came. During this time I've been having to almost beg them to come and finish the job. I get put in the schedule but the installers never show up. Only one time they came but it was not on the agreed time frame and I wasn't home. When I call they get very condescending and don't even let me speak with a manager. Today they wanted me to wait for them again. I can't put my life and work on hold every time they promise to come in but they ended up not showing. I ask them to come on Saturday but refused. I find it very unreasonable that after all this time and the numerous times they didn't honor the appointment they can't try to make things right by coming in Saturday or a time that works with my schedule. I can't take time off work going the installer to show up just for him not to, and me having to call again. I don't know if my media center will ever be completed. Please stay away from this company. They don't care about their customers.

I used Closet Factory a year ago and everything went smoothly. Their design, product and installation were excellent. I have a second, smaller job and have been extremely disappointed. For weeks I had an installation date of February 10. A week before, they changed it to Feb. 8 which I said was okay. Then they told me it would be Feb. 9; I told them no one would be home. They still sent me an email confirming Feb. 9. My designer then wrote that I would be contacted by midday today (Feb. 7) to confirm the installation date, most likely Feb. 10. It is past midday, I haven't heard from them. I wrote both Kay Wade and Estrella Gutierrez and left a voicemail for Ms. Gutierrez. I've heard nothing. The customer service is appalling. Obviously they don't value me as a client even though my first job with them was quite expensive.

Carol was excellent at recommending ideas to meet our needs. The installers were knowledgeable and courteous. Will definitely use Closet Factory again.

I have used the same Closet Factory franchise twice, in two different houses. If I was writing this review after the first house then it would have been five stars and full of praise. My previous great experience is why I hired them for my next house. I had to wait seven weeks for installation, I wanted it much quicker because this would cause us to move into a house and not be able to put everything away. We were having every closet done, a home office with a Murphy bed, the garage, a TV entertainment center, a large lighted hutch and a kitchen island. There was a hurricane the week that they were supposed to start the install so it was delayed. They did send two teams for two days right after the hurricane, they worked and got a lot done. They didn’t tell me that they were going to be there on Saturday but we were thrilled to see them. That was the end of any priority that our over $50K job was given. They then worked on the job in fits and spurts, initially installing the wrong material for the desktop in our study and there were numerous problems with our kitchen island due to incorrect measurements by the designer. And we live two hours away from their warehouse so they never got to our house until 11 am. The installers were great, the people in the office were great, the designer deserted me when problems started happening and the owner let me know that they had no intention of making things right, praised our designer and deprecated the one that we had previously (who did a great job). Three months later, we did finally get a satisfactory install after much effort on our part. When I saw these reviews on Houzz I just had to relate my experience. Closet Factory satisfaction not only depends upon the franchise, it depends upon the designer. It is too bad, I could have recommended them to many of my new neighbors if they had treated me just a little better.

They have done wonderful work to help find creative solutions to our client needs. Would work with them again in the future.

My mom wanted some built in shelves and cabinets for her new apartment. One contractor we consulted with wanted a huge amount of money to build some clunky "entertainment center" even though we kept specifying something very simple and clean. Thank God we stopped into The Closet Factory in San Carlos and met with Christian. He immediately understood what we were looking for. He came out to see the space and designed something perfect for her. The installers were also excellent. Very clean and meticulous. The shelves and cabinets look fabulous and are providing much needed extra storage. The price was quite fair. We highly recommend this team!

Christian Lovborg and Closet factory did a superb job on our closets in February of 2020. They were extremely resourceful, professional, and helpful in their approach. While it took me time to organize and plan, Christian came and helped with ideas, understood what I needed, and provided invaluable advice, which was both timely and got us the closet design that I wanted. We had two walk-in closets redesigned and a bookshelf and a closet built from scratch. I strongly recommend these professionals, who got the job done effectively, on time and on budget.

We had a wonderful experience with Christian at the Closet Factory. We had a major redesign in our master bedroom and the closet turned out exactly as I had hoped. I have so much storage space now, I actually have empty drawers! Very, very happy.

The Closet Factory was excellent in providing custom closets in my home. The salesperson, Katie, provided many design ideas & options that I hadn’t considered. The installers were professional & efficient. And I love the closets. A great asset & value for my home.

I have done business with Closet Factory several times. A master closet organization project. A garage cabinetry project. This was a major undertaking for me. My designer Heather was very helpful and detailed. She took my concept and raised it to a higher level. The cabinetry is well made. The installer did a pre-inspection of the garage to ensure the cabinets proper fit. This too impressed me of Closet Factory's ethical workmanship.

Let me start by saying the problem is not with their product. Overall the finished product looks pretty good. But a product is only as good as the company that stands behind it through support and service and that is where this company really fails. It started with our designer, Jeannie, who spent more time trying to having us just sign a contract rather than really trying to figure out a design that met our needs. It was only when I told her that we weren't going to sign a contract until we had a design that met our needs that she spent time working on our design. We thought the final design met most of our needs (at least on paper), but it was frustrating process throughout feeling like she never really listened. We continued anyway despite my reservations because of the presumed quality of Closet Factory's work. Going to install, we had a very tight schedule and needed to move in to our house the day after installation. We were reassured several times that install would be completed in 2 days and not to worry. It was apparent on the first day there was no way they were going to finish the install in 2 days so I called their office asking for them to send additional installers (they only sent one installer and one helper). Again I was told not to worry, and they were confident that the install would be completed by this team on day 2. Of course at the end of day 2 (Friday), the install was not completed as I predicted, and they said they would need to come back the following week to finish. When I explained that movers were coming the next day and none of our closets were finished their management was not apologetic, but actually stated they were doing us a favor by coming out on Monday (a day on which they usually don't install). The closets were finished on Monday evening, but in the midst of the move we missed some things that didn't get done. I was so frustrated with the company and their lack of service and follow through. We were promised credit by a manager, but later it was denied. Fast forward - I have been trying to get them to come out a finish the things that were missed or not completed and it has been nothing but an exercise in frustration. I call and they say they will have someone get back to me regarding scheduling and then no one calls. I call back and finally get someone to come out to the house to evaluate the issue and everything seems like it's going to finally get done, but then 2 weeks go by and again no one calls to schedule repairs/corrections. I finally call again today and am told the work is complete. The lack of organization and customer service of this company is just scary.

I have nothing to say but good things about this company. They were professional, punctual, detailed oriented from the phone call trough the designer and the installer. I had a pleasure to work with Eden (designer) I have never experienced working with a person that is so passionate about her job she is a hard worker an very professional please I recommend you to request her if you hired this company. I definitely recommend this company.

Closet Factory gave us the closet of our dreams! After many years of waiting we finally decided to take on the closet challenge and Closet Factory made it so easy. Cristos Valentino came out, took measurements, gave us plenty of ideas, listened to our needs, and helped us to design the perfect closet for us. Our new closet design maximized our space, looks beautiful and makes getting ready every day so much easier. I wholeheartedly recommend Closet Factory for all your organizational needs!

We don’t have enough good things to say about the Closet Factory Fort Myers. Designer Heather Krause’s experience proved invaluable as she anticipated storage needs we had not even considered! Her creativity made the final product far more attractive than we expected. We had used another company to do our prior garage with a poly-hybrid coating and we thought it was ok. Over the months and years it stained and we even had the company come back and patch some areas that bubbled up and had particularly bad stains. The problem was that we could see the patches. This time we wanted what our neighbor had which was done by Mark Sidell from Closet Factory & Motor Trend Garage. They used poly whatever it's called and it is totally beautiful. They got it done in one day and it looks like a room of our house now. Now my sister and brother-in-law are using Mark. No wonder! S&R Repp

Love my garage floor. Mark promised it would be done in just one day and that we could walk on it just two hours later. He was right. Since every other company needed two days I knew that they had to be using an epoxy which was exactly what I did not want. Even though other companies promised to fix it when it had problems I decided to trust Mark COSTCO and Closet Factory. I wish I could give this company no stars!!!! I am beyond disappointed in the workmanship, the lack of customer service and so much more. We hired them to install one master walk in closet, 2 semi smaller closets and a full walk in pantry. I worked with our consultant for a month or so to get exactly what we wanted and when it had to be installed as we were moving into a new house and we needed everything in and done by the time we moved in. Not only was the project delayed but the installer had to come back several times because things were not measured correctly, and shelves were missing, hooks were missing etc. The drawers in our closet don't even stay closed. I actually am using small velcro pieces to keep the drawers closed!! For all the money we spent, I shouldn't have to close my drawers with velcro!!! I didn't hear from my consultant at ALL during this whole mess. The only thing she said to me when we had finalized our designs was "thank you for helping to make my numbers look good this month". That should have been my first clue to cancel the order and find another company. I have been calling for 4 weeks now about this and NO ONE has called me back. If you have an option to use another company, I highly recommend it.

I would not recommend this company to any of our friends. Be very aware of their advertised " custom designed closet" which is totally not true. You can get much better product elsewhere. I have made it clear from the very beginning that we live in an older house (that you can not expect the floor to be completed leveled in older houses). The closet installed in our master bedroom looked like about to cave in/ meaning in a slight v line (not leveled), the president of the factor (Bill Reed) blame it on the floor. despite the fact that one of the workers suggests that they can install molding on the bottom, and lifting the center board to level the close, in order to repair this, Bill refuses to fix it. We are very disappointed. It is clearly written on the contract that the closet is custom fit ( $4,000) to our room, and that they do the cutting on site, when in reality, these are pre-cut at their factory. How can you call this custom fitted?

If you like professionalism, quality materials, and good customer service... this company is not for you. After much back and forth with my designer Stanley, I was all set for installation of my new walk in closet 3/21/17-3/24. I insisted on having a re-measure to make sure things would fit perfectly. I also, decided to pay extra for them to paint everything in advance at the factory. I was assured this would make everything look it's best and giving me the best final result. The list of problems are many and long, these are the "highlights". From the moment the installers began there were big problems. They began the installation using an old set of drawings. As a result they had to remove the wrong items (damaging my walls). By the end of the week, I was beside myself at how terribly everything looked. Almost every painted piece was scratched, dinged or poorly painted. Nothing fit well, the finish work was awful and they tried to use ugly fillers, with bad finish work, to try to mask the ill- fitting design. I called to complain and took pictures throughout the installation. Kristine and Ishmael came to see all of the problems, 3/29 (their first available time). They did acknowledge how bad things looked and said they would work on solutions. Neither left contact information, so after a week of waiting I called Kristine to discuss solution options. After over a month of emailing with her (she never calls back) I agreed to have them come back with a "team" on 5/13 & 5/14, and was promised everything would be taken care of and completed. Of course, when your dealing with a company that is not honest more problems began immediately. 1 installer showed up, and informed me most of the materials weren't ready, he couldn't fix any of the problems with the paint (scratches, dings, chips), or adjust the pull down rods to make them easier to use and there was basically very little he could do. I left messages for Kristine, Ishmael, and Kathryn, as soon as he arrived on 5/12. None of them had the professionalism to return a message or email. Instead of calling me back, Kathryn had her assistant Raena contact me. I then began dealing with her. She also made many broken promises. To date, I still do not have a damage free, and functioning closet. The few things the 1 installer could, were still ill fitting again and he informed me that too much glue was used during original install and there was nothing he could do to fix anything. This company is not trustworthy or professional.

We love our new closet! Kimberly worked with us to make sure we had enough hanging space to match what we currently had, as well as add some shelving and drawers. She was patient and listened exactly to what we wanted. We were expecting our second baby and wanted the closet installed before he came. They were able to get an install date before he arrived. During install, the installers were professional and worked hard to get the closet in quickly. We were remodeling our bathroom at the same time and they worked around the construction going on. After install we noticed there was a mistake in the top shelving. Candace was so prompt in her response and had new shelving ordered and ready to be installed right away. We're beyond happy and would totally recommend anyone looking for a custom closet to use Closet Factory!

From the moment we started our storage solution quest all the way through the design process then implementation/installation it has been a pleasure! We started by visiting the design showroom in Deerfield Beach where we met Senior Designer Mark Sidell. Mark welcomed us from the moment we were introduced and spent a considerable amount of time with us showing us the entire operation and design options available to us and took the time to see what our needs/wants were involved with the project. He then scheduled our in-home measuring of the spaces we were interested in having organized. Mark has been the ultimate professional throughout the entire design and implementation process. He scheduled another meeting with us once he finalized all the space designs so that we could fine tune and pick finishes and hardware options. Most importantly, Mark truly listened to what we wanted, and his final designs exceeded our expectations. Our installation crew was professional, courteous and worked very neatly. They covered their work areas with drop cloths and ensured all areas were neat and clean when each area was completed. Whenever there were questions, the installers double checked with us to ensure we were happy with any decisions that needed to be made at the time. They were perfectionists and did everything they could to ensure the job was done right and to our expectations. We also had The Closet Factory do our garage floor. The crew for this project arrived on time and got to work immediately. In less than 4 hours they were completely finished, and all we could say is "WOW!" About 10 minutes into our tour of the showroom and factory we looked at each other and knew we found the right people to do the work in our new home. We needed a lot done not just closets. The design process was seamless. Mark Sidell walked us through every step of the way. He did an awesome job and made sure to recommend a beautiful polyurea floor that worked perfect as a compromise for my husband and I since we each choose a different floor color. The installation was exactly what Mark promised...perfect. The Closet Factory Team is actually the Motor Trend Team as well and they did a great job on the cabinets and the floor. Everything looks ten times better than anything else we had seen. The floor step where the water heater sits was done which was a big surprise for us, since we were not expecting that part to be done. We needed a closet system in my son's closet to make it more usable. Ellen was great - came up with an economical design that does exactly what we envisioned. Would definitely use her again fir another project. There were lots of options to choose from but she led us in the right direction.

My husband's closet system (not a Closet Factory system) of over thirty years collapsed at 1am a few days after Christmas. I called Ellen the following morning and she was at my home within a couple of hours to design a new closet for him. The installation was scheduled for January 13th and by mid day the project was complete. Both Ellen and the installer (Jared Turner) were professional and considerate of our home from start to finish. The closet is just perfect. Ellen did a fabulous job for me. She brought ideas to the project that not only made it look better but made it more functional too. Although her primary role in the project was as designer, she stayed on top of things through construction completion. She had a great eye for what the rest of my home looked like and created a design that would complement my personal style. She was thorough and on time, professional and pleasant from start to finish.

Ellen designed two master bedroom closets for us. One closet had a bump out for a support beam that could have been a challenge and wasted space but Ellen made the space work, a row of drawers and shelves were placed above it using the space well. The installers were on time and worked neatly.

We had such a great experience with Ellen Paytas and Closet Factory. We wanted to create a large walk-in closet for our master bedroom using a smaller walk-in closet (basic shelves only) and a dressing area. We were doing another project so we had our contractor build out the area (20' x 8.5') to fit in a custom closet. We were looking for custom but in a reasonable price range (as opposed to hiring a carpenter to literally build out of wood which is very $$$) and shopped around. In other words "california closets" style firms. We decided to go with Closet Factory due to 3 main reasons. Styles and customizability, price (fairly priced, not cheapest but I wouldn't go for cheapest anyways) and the designer. This is where Ellen shines. She offered great suggestions without being pushy to help us conceptualize what we wanted. Its actually pretty hard to design a closet yourself as you never really think in details about what you need. Based on an on-site discussion and some emails, she hand rendered some options for us. Ellen was always willing to meet or talk and made herself very available. She works well over email and phone and very responsive. We were traveling during the summer to visit our in-laws and we still worked on the project over email. The best experience in my mind, in when both sides do the due diligence and put the effort in to get the right outcome. She is very responsive, knowledge and honest. And meticulous. She reviewed our contract with us in detail and took ownership to make sure that the "factory" really understood what we were getting. She came out to the property before, during and at the end to make sure things were going well. Attention to detail is critical and Ellen definitely has that. She has a good sense of design and what we were looking for. We didn't take all the suggestions and came up with some of our own so there is a back and forth in the process but it was efficient and professional. Some ideas we had were not possible with what Closet Factory produces but she tried to figure out what we could do to get as close to the idea or some alternatives that could work. The Closet Factory installers were prompt and professional. Also, great attention to detail. Didn't seem to be fly-by-night installers that wanted to get our as quickly as they can. The project took about 3 days including a small shoe cabinet in our mudroom. We opted for putting in textured wallpaper in the closet which was a great idea. (Wallpaper is something you have to handle yourself). We left out the backs on the cabinets for cost but added the wallpaper to give some texture and contrast to the closet and it turned out great. We highly recommended and we'll definitely use Ellen and Closet Factory again!

I have been working with Ellen to design my master closet. Although my closet hasn't been easy, Ellen has made the process easy and helped me accomplish what I was looking to do while working within a budget. She was very careful in noting my specifications in our initial interview and then very prompt in presenting me with a floor plan for the five closets I was having customized. Because of the limited space of my storage area, Ellen went out of her way to give me a visual of the closet area on my floor, using painter’s tape, to be sure I understood how the finished closet would look. Rogelio and Daniel were very courteous. Rogelio moved my closets from one address to where I live now. He then proceeded to install them with Daniel's help. They picked up after themselves and left my apt spotless. At the end of the job they both were very professional. The install was stress free.

I do not like this system. The sales woman was difficult to work with. The bed was suppose to be the best, yet it has no headboard, so the pillows fall off all night long. The end of the bed legs stick out so a person is always tripping over them or hitting their feet on them. The drawers and doors do not have soft close features, all these problems are not present on The Closet Tec system in Sarasota. The light features in the cabinets are not working. I never recommend this company. I show family and friends the problems.

Absolutely love it! Mark Sidell at Closet Factory in Fort Lauderdale was amazing. He is doing many spaces in my home that I recently gutted. The garage had to be done right away and it had to be done right. The floor these guys do was the best option since we didn't want epoxy. We purchased a home in Raleigh for our retirement years and wanted to have several closets and our pantry updated to meet our needs. We wanted the project completed before we moved in. We met with representatives from three different closet specialists. We were fortunate enough to have had Ann Mullins from The Closet Factory work with us. She was the only one that took the time to find out in detail exactly how we would be using the closets and pantry down to how many pairs of shoes, belts, suites and dresses we had. We spent hours with her during a visit to Raleigh several months before the move date and then all the added communication was done via e-mail from out of state. She was always prompt to replay. Our installer, Joe, did the entire installation before we arrived. When we arrive it was perfect. Everything was clean and the installation was professional. After living with the closets and pantry for almost a year, we are still very pleased. We added a spice drawer to the pantry and I had more shoes that I thought which required an additional shelf in my walk-in closet. Both were easily added to the original installation. Working with Mark Sidell from Closet Factory has been a wonderful experience. Nothing more then a pleasure. It’s wonderful doing business with such talented, professional, people. The Craftsmanship is outstanding. When they tell you they are going to do something or give you a date and time, you can count on it, which unfortunately I’ve come to realize that in South Florida that type of dependability is difficult to come by. I’ve had the opportunity to work with them on 3 occasions in the past year and won’t hesitate to contact them when doing other renovations.

I hired Closet Factory to design and install organization shelves for a closet. The designer informed me that the install would take about one day. True to her word, the install took only 9 hours. However, because the installer showed up hours late and worked four hours or less every day, the install took 3 days. Additionally, the installer left without letting us know and asking if we were happy with the install (there were issues that needed to be remedied). These actions resulted in my husband and I having to take off work for many hours to only sit and wait for someone to show up at our scheduled time. Not only was the installer consistently late, but no one called to tell us he would be late or they would give us another inaccurate time. The installer shared that reasons the he was late daily were personal. The office promised to compensate us for these inconveniences, but has failed to do so.

Just the Look We Wanted. We live in Valencia in Boynton Beach, FL and the builder offers a built in office as an option. We asked Mark Sidell from Closet Factory in Fort Lauderdale to come and discuss some options. He showed us how for the same or less money we could get the work done with a much nicer finish and how to avoid a number of design errors that the builder had in the model. Well it turned out great ! Just the look we wanted. Filled the 12ft wall perfectly with shelves & drawers as requested. Also the installer did a professional job! Alan & Pat Pollyea

They started with a small, one car garage, cluttered with everything from my washer and dryer to my Christmas decor. When they finished the transformation, I had a beautiful floor [which matches the granite counter top I now use to fold laundry], shelves custom designed to hold extra kitchen appliances and gardening shears and everything has a place. Crew was professional, neat, cleaned up everything and went out of their way to provide excellent service.

We met Mark via COSTCO's preferred vendor program, and, as with everything associated with COSTCO we ended up being very pleased with the final results. Closet & Hula Hoop Demo! My wife and I recently purchased a new home and unexpectedly my wife's old wire closet system collapsed. With two young kids this was an expense we had not budgeted for. We called Closet Factory in Fort Lauderdale and when Mark Sidell arrived at our home he immediately understood our situation. He designed the closet right there on the spot using his laptop computer, that matched our needs and just as importantly, our budget. He didn't try to pressure us into something we couldn't afford. Doors are good! This is the second project we did with Mark Sidell from Closet Factory in Fort Lauderdale. My "Man-Cave" turned out so amazing my wife and I use it as one of our favorite "date-night" hang out spots. The current project was fairly simple since we were looking to replace our old pantry doors with new. The only unusual aspect of this project was that the width of the pantry required a set of 4 doors so we selected sliders. Mark was able to quickly draw up a design that was just what we wanted and that was that. We're very happy with the result, the design, the installation and will certainly have Mark do more work for us and our neighbors as well. David Freeman

We're very pleased with the work. My husband and I have used Closet Factory in Fort Lauderdale for 3 prior projects so when we built a new addition over our garage we called their Senior Designer Mark Sidell to do the design. When he started there wasn't anything there, not even the room, but he was kind enough to take us into a private design studio with a large flat screen TV and just map out some designs right in front of us, allowing us to guide his efforts with what we had in mind. We returned to Chicago and we continued to work remotely with Mark over the following months while the room was being built. Totally Pleased! I must say that I am totally pleased with the work done by Mark Sidell from Closet Factory ion Fort Lauderdale. We had others come and present to us but Mark was a real Pro and that really impressed us. We felt completely comfortable with his guidance because he helped us get the design elements we really wanted and he made sure we got all we wanted within our budget. The entire design process was really great and we were involved every step of the way so that we could make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Our Installer Pasquale was amazing as well taking our vision and Mark's design and bringing it all to life. We are really looking forward to our next project. I was referred by a friend. I got 3 estimates. They were the highest but I went with them because they were referred to me. It was about a $20,000 job. Our salesperson Serge was nice. We contracted on November 11 and were told installation would be the third week on December. On December 20 they said they were behind and it would be January 4. On Janurary 4 they said they were ready to schedule and came about a week later and worked a day or two and disappeared. Since then I have called many times with no return call. Today February 16, over 3 months after we ordered the closets, which they said would be installed in 30 days I finally got a hold of Serge. He had no answers for me and knew nothing of the status of the job. I just received a call from Cindy at closet factory telling me that she could schedule something the first week of March! So I guess if you want someone that takes a 50% deposit, promises you 30 to 45 days and takes 4 months, (if hopefully if they show up this time), these are your guys! I'm so mad at the guy that referred me!

Appreciate All Your Efforts! We wanted to thank Mark Sidell from Closet Factory in Fort Lauderdale for all his efforts and those of the entire Closet Factory team in designing and building our new home office in our new home. We moved in and really needed a space to manage all of our household business and we found Mark extremely capable of developing the right design for the right space and at a very comfortable price. We found Closet Factory through COSTCO and we now know why COSTCO partnered with them. All our decisions were simplified when we met Mark. He was able to use a large screen tv to show us our designs in 3-D which made it very easy to understand what we were doing. He made the changes we wanted very quickly and we ended up with a very useful design. We were impressed with the installers who put everything in place and left the area in excellent shape. Very pleased with my garage. I am very happy with the work Closet Factory did in my garage. This is actually the third overall project (not including another one they did for my wife) and the second one in my garage. I've been working with Mark Sidell who I think is an extremely capable Designer and my wife and I really enjoy working with. This project is a good example because we weren't sure what we would end up doing in the garage and so he broke this project into two phases so that we could see the results of the initial work and then decide on the rest. It also made the money easier too since we didn't have to come up with the entire amount right away. I am really happy with the result. My garage looks terrific! Robert (Bob) Broback
