Built in washer water shut off valve

I am remodeling my laundry room and my washer and dryer will be placed in cabinets with granite countertops. What is the best way to access the water shut off valve for a built in washer/dryer? I do not want to see the hoses above the washer and pulling out the washer to shut off the valve may be difficult. Is it ok to place the water and drain on an adjacent cabinet and place it below the counter?

get a water bug. it's an automatic shut off control that will turn the supply off when the washer isn't calling for water and also if it detects a leak from the floor sensor.

Which model do you use? The only ones I can find are sensors that detect water leaks and alarm. The descriptions don't indicate that it shuts off the water when the washer isn't calling for water.

The drain hose has to be higher than the washer. Most people put the shutoff valves over in a cabinet to the side. You can do some searches on Houzz for photos or for prior discussions.
