So many people are going toward white cabinets now and they always look so clean. If you have to change out the counters be sure to go with a light color such as you have. If possible remove your soffit & take the cabinets to the ceiling. Good luck with your dilemma.

Hi Lorrie, yes, I agree - the dark burgundy soffit really closes the room in. Perhaps the colors you are looking at fight the red tone in the cherry. I would pick up on one of the peachy/rosey colors in the Typhoon Bordeaux - gorgeous btw! Perhaps Benj Moore Georgetown pink beige HC-56 or Odessa Pink HC-59. And use the burgundy in the dining room - reds tend to enhance the appetite so that's a good place to use the red. Good luck.

I wish I could have taken the cabinets to the ceiling but in 3 areas there pipes. Because of the insurance the company they assigned us to restore only uses Behr or Sherwin williams paint. I have though the option of cashing out on the paint.

I see. What about SW 6050 Abalone Shell? And, I believe most paint companies, including Sherwin Williams, will match a paint color if you have a swatch. The swatch could even be a piece of art paper (construction, origami, etc.), fabric or color chip that their computer "eye" can analyze and match.
