The Bustani Plant Farm catalogue arrived in today's mail! I love their plant selection.

lol. I get excited every time a catalog arrives. It is part of the curse of being garden-addicted. I've been trying to pile them up and not look at them too closely because I have plenty of seeds and no where to put new plants either, especially if the deluge of rain continues for a few more months. As soggy as our ground is and as much water as we have standing, I need to be looking at catalogs of aquatic plants and fish and frogs.

Bustani does have beautiful plants. Enjoy the catalog! Gardening eye candy like that makes winter more tolerable.

I have received 6 catalogs...but not THAT one yet. I've been so out of the loop for a couple years due to health issues but By Golly - that danged "issue" got literally CUT out this past year! I spent some time with Territorial tonight...and plan more time with others in the future. But I digress...

I think several of us wanted to plan a trip to the Bustani Farm some day...LISA??? SHARON? (They already went last year - and O. M.G......the treasures!!) Any one else interested in a road trip? I'm down for that!

I was going to go the baker creek festival last year but right after the spring fling my van started giving me problems so I had to skip it. I am going to mother earth news fair this year in TX.

Did anyone get botanical interests catalog. It is a work of art

I go to Baker Creek about once a year, but I no longer go on the Spring Planting Festival and just go to one of the monthly ones. I went to the Mother Earth News Fair in Topeka this year and found it to be good, but not great. I understand Eliot Coleman is going to be part of this years speakers, so that should be good.

Yes Eliot Coleman and Joel Salatin are going to be there. I am looking forward to this. It is in February so it won't be too hard to get away.

I'm definitely pre-ordering this year. I haven't before. I look through the catalogue, see what I like and wait until I get there. Well, that hasn't worked out for the best. They're usually out of the plants at the top of my list. I haven't heard of Baker Creek. I'll have to check that out!

nowyousedum, I got our copy in the mail yesterday after coming home from the funeral of my 98 year old aunt who greatly influenced my love of gardening. I sat for about four hours and devoured every picture and plant description. Just a lovely way to end the day. And I found a cute little rose that Steve said he got as a cutting from Loretta Aaron, who wrote a gardening article every week in the Daily Oklahoman back in the 1980's. I wrote her a letter asking for advice and she invited me to her home to tour her garden. It was a highlight of my life! So that plant will definitely be on my list.
