Sorry this doesn't answer your question, but is that the only place you have to put the buffet? I am just wondering if it can go against another wall so it is not in the way of the drapes. Looks like you have a contemporary style so something along those lines would coordinate.

It's always best to stay with similar finishes. You don't want to have everything match but your chandelier is chrome and so is the pendant over the counter. I would stay with a chrome finish. Tall and thin is better if you think you may use the buffet surface for anything.
