I love the floor

I think the cabinets are all right. That backsplash is really amazing. Not in a good way I think if you replaced the backsplash, you could have a nice kitchen for several years until you just have to update.

I am not a big fan of backsplashes where they are not really needed. I think refreshed cabinets will do wonders. What do you have in mind for countertop?

If the brick in your front room is veneer you should consider removing it.

If it were me I would consider getting all of the cabinets painted white and get new cabinet doors only. With a flat or shaker front and sleek no fuss pulls.if the cabinets are nice enough quality to keep. So many cabinets end up in landfills when it's just their fronts that got out of date

Get rid of the glaze for sure I like White Dove for a color and for inspiration check this site for white contemporary kitchens.
