Rose bush, pruning?

Hi there, recently I moved into a home here in Florida, and as I was out in the backyard I noticed a Rose bush. I really would like to keep it, but does it need some pruning? Is it supposed to look like this? I'm also kind of curious what type of rose it is. Any help is appreciated!
