We live on Central Ohio and have a back yard with 6 110' hardwood trees so our back yard which is outside the windows in the first three photos and which gets very little sunlight.
We also have wonderful neighbors, but would like someone privacy, especially late afternoon when there is still daylight, but do not want to draw the light blocking drapes.
I am looking for shades or blinds that will work on the patio door and the Windows. I have looked at roller blinds, natural fiber roller shades, pleated shades, cellular shades, Roman shades, but cannot decide which would serve my purpose best. A home blind service said I should use dark natural woven fiber Roman shades...but I cannot get my mind around dark shades. I need light.
The last photo is a window on the covered porch right by the front door. Late afternoon blinding sun comes is for a couple of hours in the winter. On this window I have considered top down bottom up shades so those on the porch cannot see in the house. Right now this is a problem.
I want all the shades/blinds to coordinate.
I really need to get some insight from you wonderful designers. Go...........
