I wouldn't waste that delicious maple liquor on a ham that will mask the flavor. Shake it up with some ice and cream or even milk, in a shaker, pour into a stemmed glass and enjoy!...you could even add some vodka or rum and call it a "maple rum snow slide"...or a "melted snow man"....or "sugar bush special".
For the ham mix 2 T. brown sugar 1 tsp Coleman's dry mustard and add enough pancake syrup to make a glaze....brush that on instead.
or just brush maple syrup on your ham. Ham doesn't need the booze! Drink that and enjoy!
