Did you choose the Pro weathered wood? I am in the same dilemma for the same reason you stated. If you chose the Pro, how does it look?

We decided to go with the Pro, although they are not installed yet. I'm hoping they do not look spotty. I can imagine the regular landmark would look great on your gray home. Our home is a warmer color and we think the pro with the lighter, warmer shade mixed throughout will tie in well with our siding color. I'm hoping we made the right choice. I'm glad you are happy with your shingles. Thanks for the response :)

Yes, I would have definitely gone with the pro had we had a warmer colored house!

Hi, we are in the same dilemma and I'm wondering how you are liking the Driftwood AR vs the Pros? Do you feel the AR shingles look flat? Or could you post some photos of your roof now? Thank you!!

Although I used Weathered Wood color, I will add my 2 cents. We just finished our home with the Pro, but our detached garage we roofed a few years ago has just the regular AR shingles on it. The regular AR shingles definitely look flatter than the PRO shingles we put on the house. I'm very glad we used the PRO version, although the garage shingles don't look bad at all. Especially because our home's siding is simple (shake) without any variation of color, the roof adds some zip and interest. However, if our home was brick with varying colors, I think the AR shingles might look less busy. I don't believe that Driftwood PRO has as many colors as Weathered Wood PRO, so it may not matter so much what the house it sided in. The PRO shingles are a bit heavier and thicker, so we decided it couldn't hurt. Hopefully, it will last a bit longer, too, although it has the same warranty as the AR shingles.

Do you mind posting some pictures of your roof? I have the same dilemma (concern about Weathered Wood in the pro max def line being too busy) but my alternative is Driftwood Pro. Thanks!

I will post pics in a day or 2, whenever the rain around here ends. A wet roof doesn't give the true colors the same as a dry one.

Ok. I finally took a couple of pics with a dry roof. We live in a wooded area, so there is stuff on the roof. However, these are decent pics of Weathered Wood PRO. I hope this helps. The more steeply - pitched roof will see more pattern than our 4/12. This is something to consider if you have a lot of roof showing. On our house, I am very happy with the look.

Trying to decide between driftwood landmark or max def. mostly color issues. I want a warm grey brown as our during is a warm grey / muddy. What is the color difference? I don’t like the spotty weathered wood max def

@curlysueandboys Same! what you end up doing? I have an inspo pic and it says they used Landmark series weathered wood —- could that still be pro?
