New kitchen-need backsplash help

Remodeled our kitchen but can't decide on backsplash. I've been looking at Mother of Pearl as well as stainless samples. Paint color is BM Ocean City Blue, granite is African Ivory and cabinet are not true white but rather and ivory white and appliances are all stainless.
Any suggestions?

Sparkle??? Here is one I like. It's silvery. Is that something you want or more stone?

Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't realize I had way too much going on. Thanks again.

You don't have too much going on. Your kitchen is beautiful. You have strong colors, but I love it. It takes zero talent to decorate a room with white walls. And by the way, look at the grand rooms in Europe they all have strong colors and a whole lot more "going on." Ba humbug to boring white tiles. Go with what YOU like and from what I've seen so far you have impeccable taste.

Can u take a photo of your granite from the top?

Here is granite from above. The picture catches the reflection of the lighting above a little (white circle).

In line with Chikabang, I think something like this would look awesome - http://www.annsacks.com/products/tile-stone-mosaic/tiempo-field-tiles#/tiempo-arabesque

It would tie into the cabinets mostly, but also pick up some of the granite tones, while being an interesting pattern on its own.

Get a few samples of a cream/ white glass subway tile and let them hang out on your countertops to look at in different lighting. The glass tile adds a clean look plus a pop of sheen. It's nice, but doesn't distract from the beauty of your new kitchen. Also, get some samples of white, ivory, or beige BEVELED subway tile and do the same test during different lighting. The beveled subway tile is a great sophisticated look that offers clean lines, a bit of interest, but doesn't distract. Your kitchen is beautiful!

By the way, I love the wall color. It reminds me of a sitting room on Downton Abbey, please share paint color, my living room may get a redo. It's too "slate blue."

Thank you so much for your thoughts and ideas. I'm going to take you up on them and I'll let you know what I decide.
By the way Bell, The paint color is BM Ocean City Blue. You have some beautiful idea books too. I'm working on my master next and I've gotten some ideas from yours! Thank you!!

I worked on the interior of my conservatory all weekend. As soon as it's finished a/k/a the furniture arrives, I'll post pictures . My master bath and bedroom are next too! Then the kitchen. Let us know what you decide. Our home stores here have an amazing selection of tile, it's where I got the gauged slate floors for my conservatory. And I'm always into finding a good value.
