Since her room is large and book storage is a problem, I would add some nice bookcases for convenience and to highlight her collection of books and anything else she collects (which most 13 year olds do). Really comfy seating + a suitable floor lamp and if you can, dedicate a section in the room - ie: adding a bench seat by the window is a great spot during the day. You could add a swinging type light next to her bed for better reading at night.

If you have the space, a comfy overstuffed chair with storage ottoman would be pretty and functional. Don't overwhelm the room with bookshelves, choose a size that fits into the space and leaves room for others essentials.

We have this corner seat in their room..it was supposed to be used for reading, but they rarely read in their room. The photo here shows the entire set, but we have just the corner.
