Can you tell me about this tree?

Was this tree native to the property or did you bring this in? It does not look like it could live in our cold, wintery weather here in NE Ohio. It looks more like a reclaimed tree that was brought in to be a natural sculpture/support/structure on which the swing could hang and be supported. Details please! Thanks.
