Moving next Saturday. Kitchen ideas please

So next week at this time I will be in my new house. Here is a tentative plan for the kitchen. The fridge has already been moved to the empty wall. I will box it in with bookcases against the sides. I bought a new induction stove and a new DW. There is a pantry on the wall opposite the long run of cabinets and another set of cabs which can stay. I hope I can take down the upper cabs, put something in the former fridge space and put up two long shelves. Then paint the cabs, new hardware, a better sink and new counters. and the chandelier becomes a high hat.

I've already bought the fridge, stove and DW. I wish I had the money to rip it all out and start from scratch, but that's not going to happen

The redeeming features are that it is big, 21x17, has a big pantry and is bright. I have a rug for the floor. I'm thinking of a grey green cab color.

Can't help with the kitchen stuff but wanted to say good luck for your move. Your new kitchen looks lovely. I reckon grey green would look amazing.

Oh, and when you said 'I bought a new induction stove and a new DW' I read it as '......and a new DH'!!! Poor DH I thought. Then I realised!

DH has been around for 52 years. He is busy packing those huge wardrobe moving boxes. He has 5. I have 1.

I does seem very bright, even without windows in the actual room. Is that just because of the white?! I'm jealous!

Taking out the uppers will be a big change. What do you plan to do for a vent? A rug will look great. Have you considered getting an industrial type cart like in your inspiration for an island?

Have you considered putting the new range in the old fridge space? That would give you more prep area between sink and range. What about the microwave? Wherever the range is, perhaps you could use the remaining open space for a rolling cart that could be brought out when needed--new countertop could just go right over it. Or just for undercounter storage or a spot for the MW.
