Canning already frozen foods usually results in a very mushy product but if that is acceptable to you then the only issue is sweetening them enough to make them palatable.

I agree with Dave, canning with frozen foods can result in a very soft canning product, so it depends on what you want to do with it. If you're making pie filling, it's probably OK, as well as cherry topping for pancakes. Jam would be good too. I just canned a batch of rhubarb sauce with frozen rhubarb, but it was sauce, so didn't matter if it was mushy.

So, yes, it can be canned. Hmmmm. I was just thinking cherry dumplings would be good, I have frozen cherries that I saved from the birds last year, somehow they seem to know the exact moment the cherries ripen and if I'm one hour off, they're all gone.

A topping or sauce sounds pretty good! I thought I had 2 big bags in the freezer but it appears only 1 that I can find. Smaller jars of topping will probably be the way I go, thanks for the comments.

Topping, syrup, sauce, sounds good to me. I think I have several bags of frozen fruit in my freezer so I need to start doing the same thing, gardengalrn.
