Need help with a cubby space...

Hi, I need help with some ideas to fill a large cubby area (floor to ceiling) about 6" in depth and 3.5' in length in the family room. This cubby space was built for the use of a television. We don't want to have a television, but need help figuring out what to put in this space. Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

I am not a carpenter and don't want to be one. I would measure the alcove and go on line and find a bookshelf that fits inside and give it the illusion of a built in.

Better, get a finish carpenter to build you shelves the exact size you need whether for books, collectables, art, dishes, a bar area. A chance to personalize the room to your own life.

Agree with shelving of some sort. Since you have outlets you could include a charging station for phones, laptop, etc.
