I agree with saddie

I think black, dark gray or maybe gold for some accessory?

I'm thinking adding some decorative pillows afterwards to make it not boring.

I couldn't resist kicking off by introducing just a tiny touch of colour into the room. I also think you could consider a charcoal accent somewhere.

interesting! I really like the Charcoal idea!

If you want to remain light, you will need to make sure you are adding texture. A duvet with pattern, pillows with dimension, and some reflective items. Gold or silver frames on artwork, change out the lamps for metal and maybe a wooden trunk or bench at the end of the bed. A neutral room can be quite lovely if texturized appropriately.

yep, thank you so much for your input. This is very helpful

where is that bench from? Thank yous Susan for your help!

Lamps are too high, shouldn't be the same height as the head board. Current duvet doesn't fit the bed. Dresser... Picture above, lg, small lamp, med size box to fill empty space. Small flowers. Two X based benches at foot of bed, maybe in a texture i.e. Ratan? Duvet in a soft texture, an afghan or throw across the bottom and a variety of textured pillows. Odd number 3-5. Collect pictures you like from mags. Or catalogs. If boy are a visual person. Don't do too light it will blend in with the white. Any soft color will work. Don't know your color pref. Dark creams and soft greys would work.

Sorry can't access that bench but here is one similar, they have lots of them at o.com

Rrkk , looks like u have shortlisted charcoal / black shades, i found these pieces on Wayfair hope u like them, don't really know if ur style is more traditional/ modern...but there u go.

Also, add a large mirror over the dresser, it will help ur room look a larger. All the best

How about placing a round mirror above the bed? Serena and Lily would be a place to start for a mirror and bedding too. I would add some color. If you really want things to stay neutral then perhaps just add some pattern.

Add texture and color by installing grasscloth on the wall behind the bed?
