You should find a reliable source to use to find a good reliable GC. Going to a message board can bring you all kinds of crazies and trouble. Most trustworthy, worthwhile GC's are not going to be looking on a message board of any kind for work. NARI.org is a good place to start. Good luck with your project!

Through the years we've found that the best way to find reputable people is to start with a materials source and work backwards. In this case I'd start with a local bathroom fixture supplier and ask the store manager to recommend their top three or four remodeling contractors - those who've been in business a long time; great personality; says what they'll do, and does what they've said; pays their bills on time etc. Most store managers will be thoughtful, and helpful because it's a reflection on their store, and generally they know the best people. From there, I'd interview each candidate, see examples of their work, call the last (no cherry-picking clients!) 5 - 10 people they've worked for, and hire chemistry - the best chemistry that works with yours!
