I live in the Pac.N.W. and am going south to visit my younger sister in Anaheim Ca. Helped her put in some raised beds a few years ago but am still trying to convince her to give worm composting a try. She's really concerned about snake, bug or rodent problems with a worm bin.

I would like to make her a worm bin while on my visit and am just wondering as to what design might be best suited to keep her bin problem free? Above ground? in-ground? Metal? Wood? etc.

Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks,
