This is really a question you should address to American Standard customer service. But, here is the answer: Arctic White and White are not the same color. AS tubs can be ordered in Arctic White. No other AS products come in Arctic White. If you want your sink, toilet and tub to match, order in White.

Which is more true white like most standard toilets, the white or arctic white?

I would like to know that too ahealy11. I don't think American standard has a white that will match any other brand. Toto's plantation white matches American Standard white (which looks dingy to me) while Toto's Cotton white matches most others. I have no idea what Arctic white matches. Unfortunately I bought a Cotton white Toto toilet before I knew white is not always the same and now I want an American Standard tub : /

If they're not right next to one another, no one will no that the two whites are not exactly the same. In my last bathroom, I had a Kohler white toilet, Lenova White sinks and a white MTI jetted tub. No one came into my bathroom and said, your tub, sink and toilet doesn't match.

In my guest bathroom, I had a Toto sink and a Kohler toilet and again, no one could tell the difference.

Unfortunately, the white difference can be obvious depending on the light source :-( We just remodeled a bathroom and have an undermount sink and toilet by Toto in cotton white. The Kohler cast iron tub is Kohler's white - I was told by the fixture sales person that Kohler white matches Toto cotton. It does not... The Kohler white tub has a gray cast compared to the very bright white of Toto cotton. What a consumer should be told is that white in porcelain/china is different from white in cast iron. I love the Toto fixtures (Connelly collection) but it really bugs me that the tub looks so grayish... I have to see a Toto cast iron tub in cotton. If it is still a shade off, then I can live with the Kohler tub which was less expensive. But if the Toto cast iron tub matches better, then dang! I shouldn't have nickel-dimed on this one :-(
