My last house I had about 800 Sq ft of tile floors. I tried all the mops.

At some point I saw the Hoover Floormate. The concept seemed right to me so I bought one.

I mostly recommend it. You spray the solution of water and cleaner, the brushes rotate to scrub it around, then you pick up the dirty water by suction. It works. I would say 90% then if you are really fanatical you might need to do some corners or polish off streaks by hand. I didn't but once a year I would do my floors the old fashioned way. ..bucket, rag, hands and knees.

I had marble mosaic in one bathroom. A little uneven as the individual pieces were small. The Floormate didn't work so well with that. Ok on the scrubbing. But then the suction left a lot of liquid that I wiped up by hand. Still better than swirling dirty water around with a mop, but not much.

Mine lasted about 8 years of medium heavy use. Then I bought another one.

My current home has hardwood and I don't recommend it for that. I have some tile but it's easier for me to just do it with bucket and rag.

Late to this game however be VERY careful using any cleaning agents on marble as you risk etching it. No vinegar, winded, ammonia, bleach or off the shelf stuff like 409, Kaboom, etc.. I use a Shark steamer with nothing but distilled water. The floor should be dry almost instantly. Good luck.

Natural stone has to be cleaned with a ph balanced cleaner. All stone cleaners are ph balanced. I use 50/50 water/alcohol. Again, ph balanced. I also use steam. I have stone cleaner and use it but not very often.

I clean my travertine floor with HOT water and a string mop. It doesn't affect the floor, but gets it clean.

Hoover floormate, be advised though it can be harsh on the grout.
