Dutch Door with screen?

Love the Dutch Door. I am looking for one like this with a pull down screen. I have seen them in California.

Hello, yes a screen could be added. Possibly a pull down or pull out. Something that hides away as much as possible would be my preference. We considered a screen on this for their cats, but the look was also important. Bugs aren't really an issue in Seattle, luckily!

So how do I purchase a door like this with the Pull down. Any locations in the New York area?

jbsbunny, I would ask your contractor his/her recommendations of a door/window supplier that does custom work. The Dutch door is not offered by everyone. We ordered our from a local supplier in the Seattle market. Since we ended up not using a screen, I don't have a brand recommendation for that.

The doors are installed and really are beautiful. The pull down screen is very cool. We still have not returned home (due to Hurricane Sandy) but when everything is finished then I will post pictures. Main Door Corp did a great job. Even better I could call them and ask questions. Nice companies are hard to find.

jbsbunny, can you post pics of your new doors, featuring the screens? Would love to see them.
    Thanks

Sorry it took so long to respond. Our 2 Dutch Doors with pull down screens looked beautiful. My husband is a builder and a excellent carpenter. The door hinges on installing were bent and did not line up properly. The glass fogged over in the winter. I had to stuff rags in the gaps to prevent the cold air from coming in. When I call the manufacturer I was told the doors are not for the cold climate??? When I ordered them this was never mentioned and they shipped them to Long Island, NY. As for the pull down screen one worked and the other was missing the felt stuff for smooth operation. Very disappointed. Special Ordered thru Home Depot manufactured by Main Doors. Save your money.

I have the same door I think, was it from Frank's? If so, it has a small ledge in-between the upper and lower door and I'm trying to figure out how to install the bolt correctly. Do you have a close up picture of the bolt so I can see how you installed it. It seems the ones they sell at Frank's are unique in having that very small ledge.

    Frank's. Are they on line?
