It's not so bad! Definitely in need of landscaping in front and back, maybe making a more gracious walk in front rather than a paved runway. I could see continuing a line from the porch across the back, as a pergola, around the chimney and on, or paving a nice extended patio space in back. But honestly, this house is mostly just massive in overall size, not specifically design, and I don't think there's an easy "fix" for that.

There might be a way to enliven some of the arched windows on the front with some ironwork, either along the lines of French awnings or sort of like shutters, to make them feel larger and work in some variety. But plantings will make way more difference than you think, and I'd start there before undertaking anything else.

Your house/entrance is a little formal for some of the usual fixes, like adding a front porch. I guess you have to decide how much change you're looking for, and maybe consult an architect about adding something to the front, either stonework or a full addition.

Oh, how about making the central window on the frontmost part of the house into french doors and adding a little Juliet balcony?

Lanscaping, especially with some height (trees, bushes to the bottom of windows in front and around back, color!) would do a world of good.
