I personally like the beige/taupe colour with the navy blue roof tiles. I think you are on the right track. My neighbours had a yellow stucco house with bright blue clay roof tiles. They painted the house a warm white and even painted the clay tiles dark grey. 5 years later and it still looks fantastic and updated.

But it does read a bit cooler than the beiges.

The correct method of testing a color is to paint a large piece of foam board that you get at office supply stores. At least paint it on something white.
