To care for wood countertops clean any spills as quickly as possible. If these spills stain and penetrate the top-coat finish, sanding and refinishing is always an option. If the stain is below the top-coat finish and cannot be sanded out, try food-grade mineral oil or lemon juice to pull out the stain, then refinish the countertop and it'll look like new again.
