Keep it up...been composting for over 15 years...so good for the earth and my plants

Welcome! Great bunch of people here. I have learned a great deal.

All that work is better than going to the gym in my opinion, and it pays you rather than costing. :-]

Look into vermicomposting and Jean pain method

I've got so many wigglers in my compost there's almost no room for anything else. Just a few days go the top of the pile was frozen, after warming a little I decided to turn the pile and this is only a tiny portion of what I saw.

Great looking compost Japus! What kind of things do you put in your compost to attract so many worms? I've tried "seeding my leaf compost (after heat-ups) and didn't really find the worms did that with my leaf-based compostl

Harry... I have two 3 x 3 x3 simple wired bins, between them I have a space of 18 inches. In this space, are all my stored coffee grinds until I add them to the bins. I never noticed many of these until after I added around 500 lbs of fresh horse manure, then I believe over 2 years those worms took up residence and moved over to the coffee grinds also.. All my compost bins are teeming with these little fellas and I like that. I work my piles frequently, and I am sure that helps. As far as what I add to my compost, just about everything I can get my hands on barring any harmful items. Here's a book I base my feeble knowledge on.
