I've just brought some Phals inside after summering them in a glass-house, one looked the same as yours and I was going to toss it.....but it has a tiny new growth so it will not go in the dust bin.

Flowers are the object of the exercise and experiments are good, so you should treat yourself while waiting to see if the patient recovers.

The roots do look good, but for the plant to recover, you will need to put it in optimum condition. That is a fairly decent soil mix you have there, but I would suggest repotting into a slightly bigger container after it recovers, to give those roots a bit more room. The pot should only be a bit bigger.

I would not repot now. Leave the plant, keep it well lit and warm, in spring, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Roots look good, should grow again.
