i know 3 ways, updowns, which i am not sure how, but sure you could be creative and hang in front of the doors? I also did this on a sliding door several years ago, also eliminates much heat. hang, the very inexpensive plastic roller blinds outside if you have a roof that sticks out 2 or 3 feet, still lets in lots of light but noone can see in unless they are real close, final thought is film. a few varieties and you will see you do not need to do the whole window either.

see you can a pattern as in above or do bottom half, they did half here, and they do have many nice clear ones, that are just fuzzy.

I love the clean lines of these modern vertical blinds. So many color/pattern options.

Beautiful kitchen. What do you think about panels? Try Ikea. Mine were custom made and a bit pricey.

This is a tough one since you have no room on the one side. We have a pella door that has the blind on the inside of the glass. This may be too expensive but could you replace the slider with French doors with blinds on the inside? I don't know if they make sliders like that or not but I love, love my door.

Hi, is a really nice kitchen. Here are some ideas for your sliding doors.

We have a local company that makes plantation shutter panels for sliding glass doors. We used them for our windows. Something like that might work for your doors. Lovely kitchen.

Maybe try shutters or curtains

Wood vertical blinds would work well in any room, especially one near the kitchen since they don't absorb dust or smells the way curtains or drapes would -- and you can get wood window blinds with horizontal slats as well. The color of the finish available ranges from very light to very dark.

Solar shades! The best!

Add natural woven roller shades above the slider on the wall space you have above it...they come with a matching valance so it will appear to be art of the slider but not obstruct the door when it is raised.

Roller solar shades! They are very low profile and easy. For better privacy, choose a material that is more opaque i.e. blocks higher level of UV light. Ours are by Bali, bought through JCPenneys.

Won't work she has a slider so door passes behind the other..you have a single French door.

Oh maybe mounted on the trim....but not crazy about the dark color on white trim.

Do you need privacy during the day? Night? 24/7 or just part of the time? The answer to this question will let you make the proper choice. Reflective films will give you great daytime privacy but for privacy at night you have to block the view with an opaque film or some type of blind/shade.

Fabric coverings in kitchen areas will hang onto odors. If you need controllable privacy, a solar roller shade could be mounted over the doors covering the entire area in one shade. Not our area of expertise but we have seen clients be very happy with them. Good Luck!

yes, and you can leave like the top foot or so off, so you get extra light. they sell it many places, but online gives the most variety.

Your kitchen is beautiful! I think a panel track would be perfect. A panel track is better than a traditional vertical blind because it has 4-6 large sections of fabric that can slide to one side when you need to use the door. Since you get great sunlight in this room I would suggest the light filtering option which will allow the natural light to glow through.

Good Luck!

I would do natural woven hung higher than the pictures show..take advantage of the space above the slider..it will trick the eye and make the slider look taller...the choices are endless and would really be a nice touch in your beautiful kitchen!
