I haven't tried that thread. Is it thinner than your top thread?

My machine is in the repair shop right now. The thread tension wire broke off while I was quilting the Zelda quilt in December.

Bottomline is the only thread I will use in the bobbin of my quilting machine. But, it is a fine polyester and therefore might need a bobbin tension adjustment. I'm not at home to look but I think it is 60wt. You can get twice as much on a spool as cotton. I don't use it for piecing though. My old work horse machine for piecing will use any bobbin thread and I use cotton threads in that. I am a fan of several of the threads made by Superior for the FMQ.

I use Bottomline exclusively for my quilting machine (with King Tut up top). It is very fine.

I have used it occasionally for piecing but don't recall if there was ever a tension issue. My work horse doesn't care much either.

Theresa, you are changing the tension with the foot up, right? Sometimes I forget that tension doesn't change with the foot down.

The packaging says Masterpiece by Alex Anderson, #50/2ply cotton. I assume the 50 means thread size. It is quite thin. I probably used the term Bottomline incorrectly.

I think it is time for a hospital visit.
