I would be very disappointed with that accuracy and it would not do for the work I do.Imagine if I built you 16' of kitchen cabinets and they were 1" to wide.

After watching the video it claims within 1/16"? 1/16th " in what? 1/16th in 100 yards,feet or what.What is the reference?

Laser measures are great for getting rough distances, especially when you don't have someone around to hold the other end of the tape. Quick and easy when you don't care if you're off by an inch over a 10-30 ft distance (which, for me anyway, is a lot of the time). When it matters, use a tape -- and remember that most tapes are probably not accurate to 1/16"over 10 ft. When it has to be exact, or when you want to work quickly without errors, use a story stick.

I don't consider 1/16" in 130' rough measures.

x2 for using the Bosch (IF you're going to go laser). But before I used the Bosch for anything, I tested it, and tested it, and tested it again. So far it's as good as Bosch claims it is.

we used to have one for rough measurements in places where normal measuring tapes could not go. We never utilized it for cutting trim.

A self-leveling laser level, OTOH, that gives straight lines, plumb lines and 90 degree corners is the greatest thing ever, IMO
