Is the nitch all wood? How does the wood hold up with the steamy shower?

    Hi Sue,

    yes it is a stained oak. The shelf top is removable so that access to the cistern is easy. The wood is treated with a stain followed by a sprayed on sealant. As long as there is an adequate extractor fan near the shower this surface holds up pretty well. Wood adds warmth and texture to a bathroom, and makes a nice contrast to the hard ceramic surfaces.
