Glass tile

Hi, it looks like you installed a frameless glass shower door here using glass tile. We selected glass tile, had it installed, and when it came time for the frameless door, the door company said no way the glass tile on the walls would crack. Any problems here? I'm so disappointed we couldn't do frameless.

Hi! I'm so sorry your frameless door didn't work out! We finished this project a while ago, so my memories not that great. I seem to recall having the tile "tested" by the contractor, to see what would happen when we drilled into it. I know there are special drill bits for glass to prevent breaking.

I worked with the custom glass company (who cut the door and panel) and we hinged the panel to the curb and the ceiling (pretty sure we put extra blocking in the ceiling where the panel was to attach). We then hinged the door the panel.
