BTW if the Walmart CFLs burn out they exchange them no problem. I've had a bunch go out since the temps in the room got hot.

I will keep that in mind, the great value cfls are so much cheaper than anything else I can find, great that they will exchange them if they go out.

I was able to find an exact replacement(for $11 !) for the gherkins, so it fit right on the shelf where the other one was installed(on underside of a shelf on a bookshelf) The only difference I can tell is that the new one is 7200k, listed as being specifically for plants. We'll see how it does, it sure isn't as much visible light, but hopefully will be what they need. I picked up a second, for the garden seed starting shelf, as that time is coming fast! My hubby is planning to build the new beds and supports this week, and I am itching to start planting!
