What are some pros/cons you've experienced with top-down, bottom-up Roman shades?
I've never used top-down, bottom-up blinds but will likely use them for other rooms in the house. I'm considering having Roman shades (typical bottom-up only) in the master bedroom for a more luxurious feel, but I want to keep people from being able to see in from the bottom while letting light in. Came across this best-of-both combo (R shades AND top-down/bottom-up) but haven't heard much about them. Does anyone know whether the heavier material in R shades would wear down the top-down mechanism? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
