It looks like you have a clean slate to begin with - are you looking to paint the cabinetry or just walls? Will the vinyl flooring remain?

If the flooring remains, I'd work off of that in a soft palette and add some pizzazz with cabinet color and backsplash. Google "cement tile" and you'll come up with lots of vendors that have beautiful color combinations that could be the foundation of your color scheme as well as play off of the geometric pattern in your floor. Pick a tile you like for your backsplash and use a color in it for the cabinets and a lighter shade for the walls. Could be quite charming.

Unless you are keeping any of this, your space is a blank canvas. Look online and try to find which style and what color combination you are drawn to the most. Some styles to look into are traditional, transitional, country, contemporary, minimalist, rustic, industrial.
