Often the paint makers are also dependant on where you live IMO BM is not any better than P& L and it is just a part of SW . In fact the best paint I have used ever is Farrow and Ball it has one of the highest pigment densities of any paint in fact you can feel the difference when you compare can weights with US paints. The drwaback is you have to choose one of their colors to get their paint. The other one I like is C2 , awesome colors very easy to paint with and is applied the same as F & B with a straight down stroke no overrolling or “W” shape to start. I do not let my painter decide what paint I use as they often get kick backs from certain companies and that is why they reccommend them I pay the extra to get what i want.

We prefer to use BM but PL is decent paint. It all depends on the line of paint your contractor uses. It's the same with SW or BM.. they have paint that cost $25.00 per gallon and $60.00 per gallon.
