Help with tables & counter stools

Not sure what kind of endtables to get . Also looking for ideas on storage maybe either 1 ottoman or 2 for the front of the sectional. Beginning to feel that I made a huge mistake with color of the sectional. Please help

I need more pictures to really help. And it is hard to tell on my iPad, but I think the issue is not with the sectional but with the rug. I don't think that color is doing you any favors right now.
I was going to pull up some pictures of storage ottomans for your room, but then wondered if you didn't need something lighter, and more open feeling to counter the solid feel of the sectional.

The sectional looks good -- from this pic, it looks like a perfect fit. I don't think you'll be able to fit an end table at the one end, in the photo, as it's in front of the door. Ottomans with storage are okay, but not terribly stable for drinks if they are too small (even with a tray on top). Perhaps, a larger ottoman for use as a coffee table?

If you bring in one or two of the rug colours, in accents, the rug may look better.

It's too small but I just wanted to see if the color was better . Your thoughts

I think you need to find something that will inspire the direction of the space. It could be a great rug (something with color) or a piece of art for over the sofa. Your colorful rug can work in the room if you focus on finding art and throw pillows to pull it together. It should be something that speaks to you on an emotional level. Then, using that inspiration, choose some throw pillows and if the inspiration was art...choose a rug and vice versa. You can then use that inspiration to carry the color into the adjoining spaces so that there is a visual connection. Hatetoshop is right. You can't put an end table in front of the door. You might be able to put one on the other side but it's hard to see what's happening to the right of your sofa. There is an outlet so you could add a lamp. I think adding lighting at eye level would make the space more functional in the evening. I think a coffee table with an open base (maybe a shelf for a basket to store things) would be good. You need something lighter than an ottoman. You could use a pair of square tables side-by-side if a rectangle feels too bulky. By the way, I would remove the rug in the dining area. It's the wrong shape and the chairs don't stay on it plus I believe that they are impractical to maintain in a space where there is food/drinks that can spill. It also will compete with what's in the adjoining room. Good luck!!

Thank you.. I agree about the rug in the dinning room . I'm going to get rid of it as soon as hubby leaves on his business trip.
