I have a space of 12300 x 5500 which is a new open plan area (consisting of a family space, dining space and kitchen).

I cant decide whether to install 2 skylights of 150cmx100cm (one in the family area and one in the kitchen) or 4? My logic may be off, but here's how i look at it:

The skylight in the kitchen will sit above a kitchen island and the skylight in the family area will be between the wall and the sofa (so above a coffee table). If i invest in another skylight between these two areas (so it'll be in equal-distance from the middle) i feel like my dining table MUST sit under it, but i dont know if i want my dining table to be there. So instead, if i invest in 4... the room will feel like it's not as defined by the sections, but my symmetry of the ceiling.

I hope that makes sense!! Can any designers/home owners who have skylights share some light (no pun intended!) on this topic?
