Hello all,

I read in the "Fruit Growers Bible" NOT to prune "mature" cherry trees until late Spring in order to avoid issues with bacterial diseases. However, pruning my young tree this late may result in less growth since it would no longer be dormant. Has anyone pruned Sweet Cherries before the growing season and had issues with bacterial disease?
