yes susan said what i would have, to pull the blue over into the drapes. you can have a pattern with less blue, but it needs to be seen from across the room.

Love the color! I like the yellow drapes too. A few decorative pillows incorporating both yellow and blue would balance the color palette. Also, I agree with the previous comments, the pictures behind the sofa should be lowered. Hope this is helpful. Good Luck!

If your sectional is rotated 90 degrees so it backs on to the window, will the hutch fit on the wall across from the TV, beside the entrance to the room (either side of that entrance would work)? That would open the room up and make it more welcoming since you wouldn't have to circumnavigate the sectional to enter.

I love the turquoise. I'm not convinced of the yellow curtains though (but that could just be my personal bias against grey with yellow). I'd have curtains that picked up the turquoise. Something like this:

The yellow curtains are not good with the hutch that t I love. Get curtains with the hutch color in it. Move lamp to issue of sectional and lower all art over the sectional and put them a little closer together

Nice color pallet. I would turn the couch around 90 degrees.

You may be able to lower the pics just by rotating them into portrait rather than landscape orientation. That's a quick fix that takes no time and little effort.

Now that I'm looking at them. They're too far apart. They're a group, they relate to each other, so either landscape or portrait they need to be closer.

I think a larger piece of art, then move 2 of the pictures over on top of each other on other side of lamp.

I would keep them together in a grouping. They "read" as a whole, have more impact.

If you like the cabinet, keep it -- and add that color elsewhere in the room.

Putting the couch like that is nice for letting everyone have a good view of the TV. But, given the size of the couch vs the width of the room, I have a feeling you'll feel cramped without removing a lot of the rest of the furniture, and perhaps even then.

Cute cabinet! I can see where you were going with the artwork you have next to it. If it were me I would apply wash of a very diluted extremely light gray almost white paint and then wipe it back until you get the desired effect. Your turquoise will still pop through and it will blend with the rest of the room. Try a bit on the back of your cabinet to make sure that you like it.

Some contemporary brass colored knobs would look great on this piece too.

I think there is too much going on , with a fireplace, tv, cabinet and artwork on one wall. Pretty fireplace, any chance of taking the tv down and putting it where the cabinet is. Would you have another wall to put your cabinet. I agree a wash would tone it down. You can use pickling stain or just water down paint, brush on with a foam brush then wipe with a rag

Does the top come off the cabinet? You could put your tv on it then.

Unfortunately you have a huge sofa in a small space. I have seen many photos of a sectional in a small room in that position. I think it works fine. I do like it better than they way you had it. Some will disagree, but I ask...do you like it better?

Now, how much space do you have between the window and the couch? It looks like between 4 and 5 feet. This offers you another opportunity. If the couch goes all the way back, you'll have room for a TV credenza where your hutch is. Move the TV there and your necks will thank you. Then put your large art piece over the mantle. And put the hutch on the wall with the stairs behind it. Your arc lamp can move over to the right of the window where the large art was.

Lovely color. It might look better if you add some contrast. I am not sure if the four knobs are removable. You can replace with some interesting knobs

The curtain: Blue and gray is a good combination. The blue cabinet is the accent of this room. You want something that compliments but not to steal the thunder.

If you keep this piece in this room you need accent items to tie it all together. Change the curtains. They are sore in this room.

I love it but my hubby would balk. It works with the painting. Use the color in other accessories to tie it all together .

Just my opinion, but I do not like the sofa against the window. It is squishing the room. This one is better

With the sofa like this you can keep your prints on the wall behind sofa. Just arrange them closer together and lower them to fit back of sofa.

If you keep the sofa with back to window it is making the room look smaller.
