It may be a little much on the entire kitchen. Could you use it only on the raised bar portion of the island?

If you changed the backsplash to something very neutral and plain it could look really good. It looks like everything else is quite plain so the countertop would stand out nicely. I like Hampton's idea of just using it for the bar counter.

I prefer to see "wild" quartz or granite choices on a larger island, to really show the pattern or movement. I would try to imagine this slab cut into 2 foot sections, so you will really see how the pattern will look. You may be disappointed with how it comes out on your countertops. If you change the backsplash, though, I don't think it will be too busy.

I agree the Oakmoor is a bit too busy for your entire kitchen. Take a look at Pental Serra Polished, it has similar color tones and would look gorgeous with your existing materials.
