I have the same question for you 23lena and Kelly.

We decided to do custom cabinetry because the quote was HALF the amount of the Envoy cabinets! We were told Envoy was a more affordable option, but turns out, some local cabinet makers were able to beat the price substantially. Additionally, we'll be able to get a farm apron sink and drawers in the toe kick areas, something that wasn't an option with Envoy because they have limited standard cabinets.

Hi 23lena. Who did you end up using instead of Envoy and how was the experience? Thank you.

Hello @23lena, Johnathan Jansen and Good Guys - I apologize for the late response. We have been very pleased with our Envoy Cabinets and have mostly positive things to say. We chose the antique white finish. I was nervous about the quality, but must say that we've been very impressed. We actually had a local cabinet maker work on other projects in our home and he also thought the cabinets were good quality. More reassuring, is that our contractors (previous "kitchen of the year" winners) were impressed. The installation was fairly simple for our contractors, though I think there were a few elements that required customization (around the ceiling crown molding). We chose hardware with soft closings that have made a big difference - especially with 3 kids and their friends constantly in the kitchen pulling and slamming ditching cabinets. I also really like the wood stain and finish. The cabinets are EASY and have an elegant look - blending nicely with my eclectic/french country decor. I'm sorry I don't have any photos to upload yet. I will try to do this soon - after I clean up from the holiday mess. :)

I have used Envoy cabinetry in several projects. They are a smaller manufacturer, but very similar to a custom shop. They offer a lot of customization at an amazing price point. Its different than it was 2-3 years ago. Most of their offering is made in house with a reasonable lead time.
