Weird space in wall!

I have an open area between the doorway and the dining area. There were posts there before which I immediately knocked out. I am looking for something cool that requires little electrical work and without needing to tear walls down. Not interested in trying to match flooring and major electrical, which would happen if I were to start tearing. My home has a rustic/modern feel.

To give you the wall feeling but to keep the light and open feeling how about glass block or a cool piece of stained glass?

3form makes some really cool panels. They can be anything from a basic colored panel to a panel with hand laid artwork sandwiched in between.

They are pretty pricey and since I do not know you budget might be a little much. The panels could give you an idea on what you could do for a DIY project.

You can find rustic art panels. You may need to buy two or three to fit the space. You could attach them by a small amount of chain (top and bottom). Another idea is old windows hung the same way.

Hanging the stained glass in it would add a lot of visual interest.
