    You could buy floating shelves or use solid wood with groves, attach batons to the walls at the sides so they mount like a drawer on runners

    Hi Louise. Yes they are solid wood, and they are mounted with steel rods in the back, the wood then has a hole on each side so that the shelf just slips on to it.
