This image (found on Google) is a pretty good example of knobs placement. Drawer fronts typically have the knob centered horizontally and vertically, while the doors have the knob mounted on the stile. You will notice in the image that the door knobs also are centered with pairs of doors (for example, the bottom right hand doors). I hope this helps!
