Lighting Alignment/Placement Dilemma

We are remodeling this great room area and I can't figure out the best place to put the dining area lighting. I am standing in the kitchen. The far wall will have a wood stove and be the family room (will start where the wall indents after the patio doors) and the patio doors show the area where the rectangular dining table will go (represented by plywood on sawhorses). We are having a cluster of pendant lights put in that area (you can see the area marked with the blue rectangle on the ceiling), but to center them between the ceiling beams and where the patio doors and adjacent hallway are will mean that there will be a lot of dead space between the kitchen island (closer set of sawhorses in the pic) and dining room and the dining room will be fairly close to the family room. What would you do? Center the table with the beams and doorways and have weird dead space and be close to the family room or center the dining table between the rooms and have the alignment look off in consideration to the patio doors, hallway and closer to one beam in the ceiling.
