Will this bed work with a mechanical bed?

We have a Serta that the head and foot of the bed can raise up and down...I contacted Williams sonoma and they have a bed like this but said it would work with mechanical bed? So want to make sure prior to ordering.

Thank you for your inquiry. There is a two inch gap between a standard mattress and the foot board. If the mechanical bed doesn't require more than two inches of clearance, the Bedford bed will accommodate the mattress.
